Well it's certainly the coolest one I've seen!

I wish I could take credit for this one but all I did was assemble the parts-my good buddy Dallas (amphibious archer) was the one who fabbed up the pole sections for me. I did jigger up the light bracket at the top but it's nothing fancy. The lights are just some 55w cheapies from WallyMart; they do the job plenty well but suck lots of juice.

The pole is made of 1.5" aluminum tubing, modular (3-4' sections), and the whole thing fits under my front deck when not in use. The sections join together with a slotted post design on the male end, which fits into a roll pin on the female end so it is always facing the right direction. The wires are all ran internally and use a blade terminal to connect them-fast n EZ!

The wires from the pole are then ran down to a cigarette plug in (which I'm prolly going to change) on the deck, next to the pole base mount. I've got a Big Foot switch ran inline which also plugs into a cigarette outlet, so when not in use all you see is the 2 plug covers, and the mount for the pole-way slick!

It doesnt go on until we are on the water. If you mean the actual lights they come on when I step on the switch.

Id have to check, but they came from WallyMart, 55w. Ill have to fish up some pics, I have Norm and Dale under the pole but it doesn't show the coverage of light. Ill snap some this spring. It lights up everything within shooting distance easily

So what is the deal with Bigheads that you can't use your other lights? I'm assuming they are light sensitive but how about a bit of an education for a west coast guy....

They run off the genny? The bigheads I'm used to are sensitive to both light and sound. Even the troller will spook em.

Yep they are light sensative ... so we spot light them... the purpose of the tower is so that everyone on the boat can shoot and you light up the whole area at once. Instead of one person running a light with very minimal coverage.

Bigheads are a very shy fish.. noise and light will make em' go deep. Witht he 12v towers allows you to sneak up in the dark, hit the foot switch to turn the lights on, shoot and bring em' in before they know what happened.

It worked great on our trip. Step on the switch for about 1 second to locate the fish without spooking, move into position in the dark with the troller, draw your bows and step on the switch to shoot. We also got a bunch of dink gar with it too.
