First off this is not a bashing thread just telling people what i have experience

I talked to shawn and he told me his price and he said he was goin to pickup some material the next day in lousiana and he would pick up my boat while i was down there if i would meet him in texarkana, ark after i got off of work so i got my money together and drove about 3 hrs to meet him on March 7 of2011, i paid him in full for a boat and trailer. he told me that he has acouple more days on the boat that he had in his shop and he would start on mine he said i would have it in 3 or so weeks i knew it would take longer then that but it was fine well i called him acouple times to see how things were going on it and it had not been started. over this hole period of the build i have changed stuff on my boat but i was assured by shawn that it didnt matter bc he had not started on my boat and it didnt matter as long as i went smaller that he could cut my material down. Threw this hole process i have called and texted shawn on when he will start on my boat and he would tell me 2 weeks or 1 week or soon is the answers i was getting and i can look on all my text messages if i need to be on the exact dates i dont see why tho but we have been around and around on getting me my boat and trailer that i ordered and it just kept on being the same thing over and over so at that time i had (do not have one anymore)hired a lawyer on nov 15, 2011 bc i didnt feel like i was being treated right and i didnt want it to end up like ive heard about some of these other boat builders. So after they talked about everything shawn assured him and i was going to get my boat no matter what and all the stuff that i wanted to hear but he said he would have it done by the end of march of 2012 so i said ok thats fine even tho it has been a year at that point, but come the end of march i still no boat so i told shawn that i would just rather have my money back and we would call it good he told me that he would give me my money back he would let me know something in a week well i called and text and no answer on when i was getting it so after 3 weeks went by i got a answer of i dont know when i can get it back to you and now i have tired to call and text shawn and i havent got a response since may 15, 2012 so i have been dealing with clark on getting me my money back and clark has been great he has answered all my question and he seems like he was trying to get me my money back but i havent heard from him in about a week or so.... so here i am a year and half later and once again this isnt a bashing thread just saying what ive been threw

I understand the frustration yours and Brent's boat shawn was severely behind on. Brent I believe you agreed to go ahead and have your boat built correct? The last I saw it was nearing completion right? And lee you decided you didn't want a boat just your money, well in order to do that I tried selling your build for you. I understand your stance, but not every build is like this. In fact your first boat from ******* seemed like it went pretty smooth. I'm sorry things aren't happening in the time frame you would like, but like everyone else you'll be taken care of.

I understand both of you guys frustration, and while I don't know why it's the only two builds he's severely behind on. Shawn said he'd address this when he got done working but I ask that it stays civil, and no ones "posse" jump in and try to stir the pot.

Why wouldnt it be his business? I was wondering the same thing but maybe it's not the business of potential buyers? This is just my 2 cents but this is why these threads go to hell with comments like these.

It needs to stay with people that have dealt with ******* and not the haters looking for something to feed off of or it will be deleted.

Everyone knows shawn has been behind on boats, some a lot worse then others. Some boats are built in front of others and you won't see any one deny that. But to date, every person has been taken care off and this is no different.

Easy killer don't be so quick to get defensive.... This is a public forum so therefore its everyone's business that reads this. I simply asked a simple question. As a business owner, I know exactly what you mean on juggling jobs to make things work. Thats all you had to say.

Funny, close to 100 boats through the door in a year and maybe 3-4 customers were/ haven't been satisfied? Pretty good track record I'd say

Thats the part i dont understand. that many went through and these people been waiting longer than that. I had money in hand to order hull but after so long with brent waiting i figured i didnt want to chance going through the same.

I may be completely wrong on the time but the guy that did my hull built rippers 16ft dd 350 airboat from nothing to a turn key boat in 8 days... My hull, cage an trailer took bout 40 days workin on it when he could, I wasn't in a hurry
