My buddy doesn't get on here, so I thought I would post these pics for him. 68" long and 57 pounds on certified scale. THey were out teal hunting this morning and stumbled across a roll hole on the lake. This thing is a giant.


I'd have a hard time believing that since it came from a north texas lake that has a very, very small GG population. You never know though.Beautiful fish, but it might be a hybrid?
Even some of the other breeds of gar have double rows of teeth, and bill doesn't look broad enough to be a hybrid to me at least....pretty sure this is straight needle nose.....but might be wrongGG are in many places that people do not think they are, but looking at the snout, it just looks different. There is a way to tell by looking at the rows of teeth, I'm not sure about it but there are a few guy's on here very familiar with it.
