Hey guys,

I’m new to this site and think it is awesome! I have been bowfishing PA for about 8 years now and just got a boat last summer (14 foot Alumacraft Flat Bottom). One of my buddies and I completely gave the boat a bowfishing makeover this past winter and have been having a lot of fun killing some big fish.

The boat went from a mess with a motor to this. I actually bought the Boat/motor for a cheaper price then I could have bought the motor alone for.

I started this thread because I wanted to start interacting with some guys on here and I figured this may be one of the best ways. Post pictures of your biggest fish this season and we can talk about them.

Here is my biggest flathead catfish 32 lbs. and biggest common carp 35 lbs. of the season. Let’s see your biggest fish! (My buddy is holding the common.)

I'd say you've got it figured out pretty well! Nice fish and boat! Don't have pictures of my biggest fish on my work computer but I'll see what I can wrangle up when I get home.

We shoot a lot about that size also. We have a few spots that we only fish in tournaments and we let them be other wise hoping all the carp will grow to maturity. There are also a few spots we go to that there are a bunch of people that bowfish it every weekend so we go there to just shot as many as we can and have a good time.

Yeah I am glad we can shoot them here in PA it is wild when you have an arrow in one that big. Do you know the reasoning for not being able to shoot them in some states. Flatheads are hated in the Susquehanna river where I bowfish since they are not native and have taken over. But I don't understand why they are protected in other states?
