Chit…don’t listen to these guys…you need to go buy two surge protectors…plug 3 lights into one and the other 3 in to the other, plug the two surge protectors into the genny…I bet money you have no clue what you’re doing…am I right?
I pretty much have ran my set up like this for years... worked great... not the cleanest set up but that is what zip ties are for...

i personaly run the rv cord to 6 switches then from each switch to each light similar to obg, yes runing the cord to two power strips will work but i would rater have a switch to my lights, you can even run two or three lights per switch if you wanted.

Your exactly right ! Im a Firefighter/Archery shop owner, NOT an Electrician ! the only electrical experiance I have is change outlets, and light fixtures, and flipping a breaker or 2, Other than that I stay away from it !
Every fire department has someone who does electrical work on the side. Try and find you a co worker that does electrical work. Tell them you will take them bowfishing if they help you out. Thats gonna be your best bet. You can read all you want on line but if you miss one step it could be catastrophic. Electricity is no laughing matter in the wrong hands. Play it safe and find someone to help you out! Shouldn't be too hard.

best part of the Halo's I had is they each had there own switch on them to shut off or on if you needed too... we always turned 2 off when we fired up the genny and then turned them on after the genny started to run smooth...

ive got 6 500w halos and ran wire under the deck to 2 4 plug boxes, plugged 3 lights into each box, used the rv plug and the regular plug, now i have 2 extra plugs if i need them, if you havent got this figured out yet shoot me a pm and ill send you an adapter for the rv plug so you can just plug an ectention cord in it
