Well I finally broke a pin.... Now how in the heck do I open it up and fix it??? I can't find any info....:cf: Any help guys and gals??????

Back the drag completely out and unscrew the cap. Hold the spool with one hand and unscrew the top cover which holds the pickup pin. It is held in there with a screw. (pay attention how the spring is in there). Unscrew the screw, take the old one out. Put a little grease on the base and put back together the way it came apart..

The top cover? is it the black olastic piece ?

Yup, dat be du one... LOL... It just comes off by uscrewing it counter clockwise :tu:

That's what I do, I sort of hold the handle and put my finger on the line while I unscrew the rotor

It looks like I can double up the pick up pins if I order extra parts.... do you think it would work?

It is a pretty simple fix and i noticed when I opened mine up just checking it out that there is a spot for another pick up pin so why not stick one in there.

Thats what we do that way if you break one all you gota do is get the broke one out and screw the top back on and keep goin dont have to mess with that little tiny screw in the middle of shootin fish
