Ok maybe a stupid question but why doesn't anybody use them. I mean bigger is better right. And could you use a 1000w ballast and run 400w bulbs like on Halos.the reason I ask is a friend could get some for free. JUst wondering.

few people use them,you will get more coverage with more lights, 10 400w or 4 1000w the 400w just make more sense, and as far as i know if its 1000w you cant change that, you have to use 1000w bulbs, but if you have the genny go for it, you cant beat free.

I ran them b4 I sold that boat and genny. If you can get them free I say go for it. I loved mine. Make sure you got the genny to handle them, and no you cant put 400w in them
