Saturday night while fishing the cajun classic we received what we felt was the ultimate compliment on our light setup.. Here's how it went..
We were fishing in a undisclosed location of ky lake, and we started hearing sirens off in the distance, then we notice a couple of fire/rescue boats running all over the area with their lights flashing. After a few of the fire boats came near us but didn't stop we thought they were out training, so we decided to go somewhere else and not interrupt their training. We went back to the dock to get the truck and found several bystanders in the "oh my god" squad were standing around with some of the fire officials watching us.. We had to wait about an hour to take out while 2 of the 4 fire boats loaded up. One of the boats crew said""there you guys are, man we need lights like those!" After whisper got us loaded and pulled out, we were told as the firemen came over to check out the boat, that they were there because of us!! They had received several calls about both a boat on fire and field/woods fires in same area..they thought it was huge because on their way to the dock they could see the"glow" coming down the road..and it appeared to cover the hillside!! After finding out it was us, they were both relieved and impressed, and we felt like a 4-alarm knockout fire call was the ultimate compliment to our light setup.
