That sucks zim...I am playing roulette with mine too. Good reminder.

We got out 3 days in the past week in decent light. Nothing great but solid trips. The water is very murky due to the lack of rain I guess. Can't seem to win here, muddy from rain or murky from lack it. I took my dad out on Sunday. He has to shoot from the flush deck in the back rather than the raised platform due to balance, so it was tougher for him to see, but he still had a good time. It is a nice time of year to be out on the water; crappie spawn seems to be on.

Fun night in the river! Tuesday I had a wire Break for my kicker steering, didn't have the right splice so rigged it up. Didn't think the wire would hold 20 mins but it lasted the rest of the night. Fixed it right this afternoon with the right splice but I was a touch short on wire at a bad spot. But figured it was better then I had. So hit the water tonight to scout so areas for Saturdays tournament. Had a out going ride and of course first spot we get to with perfect conditions I drop the kicker and no steering. So we drift across the river as we work on it and end up on a rock shoreline. think we find the problem and fix it, go to pull start the kicker and the pull rope breaks. Dismantle the spring and was a pain getting the spring back in the housing. But we manage to get working again. Look over the edge of the boat to see rocks, dam tide kept falling without us realizing and it's just at the edge where we can't budge the boat. Had to wait for the tide. Had to wait about 2 hours for the tide to flip and get enough water to get free. Good news is we got the pull start working perfect, bad news is steering was Working and would cut out till you would move the wires around. Still ended up killing 10 commons pretty fast Before calling it a night

didnt do too great for the weavers tourny we only shot 3 quillbacks and 4 commons biggest weighing in at 27.7 lbs that got us 4th place for biggest carp, went to some new spots we never tried before but had a fun night... my buddys muzzy gave him problems bout 2 hours into the night so it was just me and my woman shooting
