Hey guys and gals. We're taking a little family trip to Florida right after Christmas this year. We're Staying around Clearwater area on the gulf side. we're pulling the boat down to do a little bowfishing. We've never been down there and would love some input on where to go and what to look for. All I've got so far is Google maps and it looks good but we all know how that goes! Let me know what ya think or know about it. Thanks!!

Yeah I'm not sure. Looks like around 3-4hrs from where we're staying. I wonder about bays and rivers on the gulf side?

My son shot Florida towards Seabring in middle part of the state kinda due east of Clearwater, he said was Lake Jackson he believed was named Lake Jackson, had big tilapia and armored catfish or Pleco.

We are actually staying on the Weeki Wachee River. It goes right out to the Gulf. Any tips of where to go?

You're going to live that place. All the rivers that flow in there, homosassa and the crystal are loaded with big gar, sheepshead and mullet. Going out into the gulf you should find flounder near the mouths of the river on out going tides. The big sheepshead will be found mostly on the flats in/near the grass. Let me know when you'll be here and I can meet y'all up there in my boat.
