You only get to choose one of the local lakes around Chisago Area, North/South Center, Chisago, Green, Comfort, Sunrise. Trailering not allowed. Its a numbers shoot, and the past couple years, the winners has less than 30 fish. Those lakes get pounded every night, all season

That doesn't sound like it's worth the trip then...

I hit it the 1st year they had it (2013), 2nd place big fish from Green Lake. They never signed my check... :headbang:

All in all the Chisago lake chain has been a bust since. The winter of 2013/2014 one of the lakes (North Center was it?) froze solid so numbers plummeted. I usually hit big green, but when I was there last early June, I didn't see a damn fish.

To find details go on Frankie's web site and click on tournaments button. Frankie's is one of MN largest and best paying tournaments. Lots of prizes and three small Jon boats given away. Frankie supports bowfishing and puts the event on at his expense. Its a hundred percent payback. The local Clubs and lake shore Assoc. volunteer their time and it builds good will toward bowfishing in the community. Think about how great it is to have a whole community supporting bowfishing. They even have a city wide Carp festival.
A tournament is about doing your best no matter what the conditions. When a cold front moves through the fish go deep and it gets tougher. But every one is subject to the same conditions and the same rules.
If some missed a signature on a check that's an easy fix. I am sure it was resolved.
