I dont give a F**k if a barracuda will give ya a hand job after you shoot it.. Why in the chit is my osprey maxing out at 45#'s??? When it clearly states 35-55 on the sticker??

KY u know anglers are on the market, I played with 1 4 about 2 hrs the other day an I must say its freaky bad an made in the usa an is all aluminum aircraft grade.....u should've held out on that an got u the 1 u wanted in the 1st place.....just saying! Haha

Ok... So i finally started drink'n the koolaid.. And went over to a buddies house to shoot through a chronograph.. Well I have my osprey which is fairly new considering it's in swamp assassin.. And marked 35-55 pounds and a short.. So we put it on the scale and maxed out it's only at 45 pounds!! What the F**k?? The whole reason I bought this thing was for more penetration.. The fastest it ever shot was 125fps but averaged between 115-120 fairly consistently.. What kind of bullchit is this?? You buy a bow and it's 10 pounds less than it reads on the sticker when maxed out!! That's not cool.. Am I missing something here?? And speed wise it's about the same as the mission craze or menace.. Where's this hard hitting power everybody talks about?? Speed is speed and I don't care if it's a skippy bow.. If it shoots the same speed as an oneida then you're goin to get the same penetration!! For $500 plus dollars why is this son of a ***** not shooting 55 pounds?? I do have some 50-70 pound power limbs.. Is it safe to put these on a cast riser osprey and shoot 60#'s?? Is this the only way I'm going to get the performance I'm looking for?? Sure it's smooth and looks cool but who cares if it won't perform!!!
Exactly why I laugh when when the kool aid crowd says the Discovery II's are kids bows and won't stick fish. At 45 lbs you're getting about the same speed as a 29# Discovery II. Gotta love it. :tu:

But 1 thing ur 4getting is a lever bow has more kenetic energy so it may be shootin the same speed as ur menace but its hitting harder, like shoot an arrow in a target with both bows shooting at the same speed an the osprey will sink it deeper......I dnt even own a lever bow but this is just what I've been told haha

Because I still have yet to see any real specs.. And by the time I got it stick'n season would be over!! When they were in KY I never got a call to meet and shoot either!! I still may buy one but at this point it would just set in the closet until spring!

Modules are what change your let off. It's just like any other bow....The less let off you have, the faster the bow will shoot. Also the less let off you have the better the string will come off of your fingers. The mods I suggested will gain you two things.Speed and accuracy.:tu:
How much let off will they give?

Im not sure on the poundage but the let off plays a HUGE roll in speed as well as the arrow your shooting. Give Oneida a call tomorrow and see what they say.. I was told all the bows are stamped with 35-55 though. You can change the module and lower the let off and get more speed out of it.

This is exactly why we need to compile a list of bows and with each bow maxed out to whatever weight it will allow shoot a fish arrow with whatever tip.. And get a rough idea of a bowfishing ibo!!
