Southeast,

Just saw you are building a fan rig. If I woulda known I just sold a 25 horse vanguard a few months back. I stiil have a 22hp subaru robin with prop on it I thought about selling but havent made up my mind if I want to build another boat right now or not.

Buffalo if you decide to sell it let me know I may be interested. You may have to come down and shoot with us some this year

we have a mdc lake by my house and i contacted local agent asking if i could bowfish it and he said that you cant on mdc lakes should i pry a little further? it is an impounded water

I have an mdc lake right up the road from me and they love it when we are out there we had a game warden wait at the boat ramp for almost 4 hours on us to come to the truck just so he could see our setup and visit with us never once did he ask to see our license or count fish or anything. He just wanted to learn more about the sport

I am debating on selling it. We dont bowfish as much anymore since we sold the Silver Dollar boat. I thought about putting it on a 16 footer just to have a little ditch boat but I aint sure yet. We take our river boat down to KY and shoot spoonies a couple times a year and shoot silvers on the Mississippi while we are running our trotlines but thats about it for the last couple years.

Yea, love to come shoot with yall, we have found several 30 plus pound buffs at Wap before.

By chance is this MDC lake in a certain place where all the duck hunters would be in the winter?

Well that is kind of a secret spot lol. Ya we shoot duck creek lake a lot and get a lot of fish in the 20 to.30lb range with some 40 to 50lb fish the one in the pic with me weights 42.5lb

Go to this page http://mdc.mo.gov/fishing . Down the page on the right select the county, then pick the MDC area you are looking for. When you get to the areas page go down to the right and click Area regulations. Look under fishing methods it will tell you if its pole and line only or if bows/gigs etc can be used.

You get that fan boat and you will really like Duck creek. Two of the fish in the pic I had earlier in the thread broke the old state record for Smallmouth buffalo. I would have to check the MDC record list to remember but I think the one we turned in for the record was 46 1/2 lbs or so.

The one in the pic with me is a bigmouth but ya a fan will defently help out there and where we fish on wapp.
