First let me say I'm glad to be aboard such an awsome forum. I've been lurking for several months now and referred to the site by XRFjlong. I started bowfishing a little over a year ago and have not been rod and reel fishing since, I'm addicted!!
I have a 1548 flatbottom that I had used for bass fishing and in the beginning of the year added 6 250w halogens and it worked pretty good for a while but ready to upgrade.
I am planning on adding a 10" raised aluminum deck and add several MH lights into the mix. Just started taking the front wood decking out this morning. I plan to take it down to the hull give it a paint job and then start the build. I will post pics as I make progress. I have someone lined up to help with the welding in exchange for some bass fishing gear. Hear are some before pics to get started.

Finally getting around to starting on the build. I am making the deck out of 1" square aluminum and raising it 13" just high enough to get the lights under. Welding it directly to the hull as having it permanent is fine by me. Here are some pics of the progress. Got everything cut and prepared for welding and tacted in place.

Finally got the frame done on the deck and everything welded up. It is strong and sturdy. Put a front block on there for the trolling motor mount. Also swapped the factory shaft for a 68 inch shaft on the trolling motor just need to wire the head back up. I ran out of funds for the build lol so looks like plywood for the deck. Hopefully get the brackets made for the lights and get them mounted up tomo. Can't wait to get it done.

Got some more done on my boat. I got 4 150W HPS lights hung and ran all the wires through 3/4" water tight electrical conduit and secured it to the frame. Have two lights ran to one switch and two lights to another so I can start them up separetly. I am happy with the way they turned out.

I have the deck cut, pre drilled, sealed and painted just not secured yet as I still have to mount and wire the interior LED's, nav lights, and trolling motor. Some pics of the deck. I would eventually like to paint the whole boat the same as the deck.
