Ok guys with the price of gas so high share the bsaic stuff. Not asking for spacifics.

Was on the lake friday- sunday Bass fishing. Things looked fine but the Algee could definatly cause some problems.

Change your prayers for good weather and no more algee bloom.

CL Sat and Sun very slow. Didn't see but a few cruisers and only a couple of spawners.
Alge bloom looked bad and wind made open water too hard to see.
Managed a few on Sat and Sun but nothing like it should be.
Weather turning cooler today and most of this week.
Weekend alittle better--we'll see.
Long range weather says 90's on 5/30 and 6/1 then 77 and 72 on 6/2 and 6/3.
If it's right can only mean lots of wind for the trny.
DMC--when you were bass fishing did you see many carp cause when I was carp fishing I saw a ton of bass.

Didn't see many carp. Saw plenty of bass just not big catchable ones... We had tons of 2.5-3lbs bass on beds that were easy to catch but the big momas were hard to find. We found one 8 and one 10 we never caught either one. Both just would not hit anything and would just back away from anything we put on them.

Long range weather is to far out to be even remotly close unless it forcast that the sun will come up in the morning then it probably is right. I am waiting until we get in the 10 day range and even then they usually mess up big time.

Like DMC said--we won't know until we see the report mid next week--please let there be good weather and fish.
Headed to CL on Sunday to check a few spots and see if I can get my 11 year old Grandson on fish.
Would be the highlight of the year for me if he shoots one.

Well we just made the call. We are staying home this weekend instead of going up to the lake. We are definatly getting old. We would have gone even if it was raining 15yrs ago. Going to be an interesting trny just like always.

Its time for some young guns that are commited like we used to be to come in and whip up on us old men. We aren't going to lay down but will shake the hand of the young'ns that put us in the old folks home.

I aint never counting you out!There are some tough nuts up there though!Scott Tag,the Birds,Dell,and so many more.I am bummed our best shooter from here isnt gonna make it,but maybe I will have a chance to at least beat our crew!!

Hooked up and headed to CL this morning, Fogged in here but supposed to be clear at the lake. Mid 70's with wind 7 to 15.
Mostly going to scout some new spots and check out some old ones I haven't got to yet.
Weather for the trny looks to be in the 80's with some wind. Still don't believe weather reports until the day before.
Have a good trny I hope you place right behind me!!! Like thats going to happen, just want to make the drawing and beat the crews from work. Get to talk chit all year if we do, or listen to it if we don't.

Another tuff day of carping. Looked in alot of places and only found one spot with carp--- killed 6.
Get the boat cleaned and ready and get ready for the trny.
My rookey son is spot on with his shooting so we expect to do good if we get on fish.
Our goal is realy just have fun and spend time together, if we place that's even better.
