now to the rear

the pods are 18"x18" and 10" tall.the bottom is angled up 2" and the sides will be tapered in 2" this should keep the turning sharp and still keep alot of floatation.

if you ever weld in a 2" drain dont leave the magnesium plug in. the threads got hot and weakened, burred up inside and had to be cut out. i have a 2"npt die coming in the mail:rage:

Nice Man, I like to see other guys that have to work under the "Blue Sky" Garage like my self!!! Does cut down on productivity when it rains thought!!! LOL

Even though I about had a heart attack when I saw it tore apart, it looks pretty good now. You got yourself a nice boat there. I saw you had said about lights from Custom Fitz... Are you gonna use a genny and converter or just battery? And if your gonna use a genny are you gonna use a champion? I am trying to get ideas for a 1448 rig I am trying to get and get setup for this summer at some point. Nice boat man! Good job!

dont think polys in the plans. could you seriously drill 6-700 holes in that beautifull .125 floor? no fan. no genny. NO NOISE . i hunt rivers and resivors both day and nite. for me it has to be a tiller outboard, hand control TM, and a raised deck. L.E.D.s and lots of batteries!!!just my personal prefrence. i considered a gator tail but given the extra 1000 it would cost, the added noise level, and fuel consumption over a 40 i just dont see the benifit. so no surface drive either. i even ruled out a kicker because i dont want the extra weight, and precise manuverabillity is a must. my goal is to build a solid 3 man deck that rydes level with 600lbs on it. to utilize every square inch of space above and below the deck. and to do it better than anything ive ever seen with a goal budget of 8-9k. . . . . . im sure that will get a few laughs.

heres my 1448 that i built back in march. its a replica "gatortraxx gatorhyde" that will be my duck hunting boat. but for now it serves as my temporary summer rig. it fishes very well. i can fish 3 from it for 10hrs on a battery cycle. (4- 27series,2@24vlights &2@12v for the TM)
