I wear shoes, and I got the idea from the equipment i run, stand on it all day... really sturdy stuff. If arrow loss was a concern, could always cover over with a mat. Advantages that I can see, is its easy to work with, tough as he!l, slip resistant, wont absorb odor, any water drains through, wont carode warp or rust, slightly heavier than aluminum, but requires less bracing.

My only concern would be my arrow falling through the gap and the tip getting stuck. But if you cover it with a mat it might be okay. But if you just do a piece of 1/2 in marine plywood with a mat over it would be just as easy and prolly lighter? Just my .02

What are your plans for a deck? Raised/flush, size?

man if this is what you wanna go with im sure you can make it work and look good only way to know for sure is to try it i mean you can always cover it if need be

4x8 sheet of 3003 aluminum that's .125 thick run about 150 here. Takes a good frame to make it sturdy but it's fairly light and has great weldability. Very easy to work with. And it's not all that slick either. Grip tape it and it will be perfect. Just a suggestion.

That appeals to me because I am worried about my deck catching too much wind running wide open and that would let the wind thru. (I've got an 1860 w a 200 Merc on it that'll run 73 mph) We use a lot of it around our tank batteries and such out here. Weight might be an issue though

We have this stuff at work and it is way heavier than any thing you might think. I had the chance to get it free from work and passed on it because of the weight. It needs more support than you'd thing as well. Not as much as aluminum plate but it won't cover a span like bleacher planks or scaffold walk boards.
