Last night we went to shoot fish under the LEDs below the dam at Hudson lake here in Oklahoma. It was going great. We had over 20 fish in the boat in 30 min. It was rough though. We hit a lot of rocks with the trolling motor that we could not see at all. Then IT happened. We only have a 12v Trolling motor ont he front. And with four people on the deck we could not avoid the next rock which we seen to late. It bent the shaft of our Minn kota like hell before it snapped. Pulverized into fiberglass shards and carbon dust where the bearings meet the shaft. A few more hours and it could have been a hell of a night. Again only 30 minutes on the water....

So here's the big question. Does anyone have a 36" replacement shaft for a foot controlled Minn Kota Edge? Any suggestions are appreciated

I though minn Kota had a life time warranty on the shaft?
X2. Get on Minn Kota's website and find ur local dealer/repairshop and give em a call. They are pretty good with the warranty stuff. And i didnt know they made fiberglass shafts i thought they were all composite

Appreciate the tips guys. I will definitely check into that. And I know we should have tried to keep fishing but it broke right where the diameter changes near the bearings so I couldn't be splinted

Next time take a couple arrows n some duck tape n out it back together! Learned that 1 from strikeforce
That's what kyle15 said while we were on the water. Him and his brother we killin' it out there being rookies to night fishing. They were pretty disappointed. It freaking sucked
