Passed on this guy last year three times and had him patterned on trailcam. Walking in yesterday on opening day and about 200 yds from my stand I smelled a dead deer and in less than 15 yds he was laying by the creek. The picture doesn't do him justice. I haven't measured much of the rack, but it's 25 outside and 23 inside, 17 pts, and 25 in main beams. I'm going to score it in the next day or so. Walked the rest of the property on the creek and river and didn't find any others, so the bigger one is still out there- yes, a bigger one, but I haven't seen him this year. We estimate this one to be in the high 170's.

It does suck. I'm hoping my season isn't over, but I haven't seen the other big one yet this year. They just cut the corn on the next property, so I'm crossing my fingers...

Wait til you hold this rack in your hands Tim, it's unbelievable the mass it carries with the palmated (spelling?) main beams. They are almost 3 inches wide up by the G4.

Do you want a nice skull mount? Luke does an awesome job. And cheap.

NO...

We started finding them along the river near us this last weekend. Lucky for use none in our hunting area, all SE and NW by many miles.

Getting cold weather this weekend in the 30's, so maybe those little SOB midges will DIE, DIE, DIE... I'm hoping the bigger one isn't a ghost and I see him this season...

That was a real wall hanger. To bad, hope there's one out there bigger you have not seen yet.

I know there is (if he didn't die) so I hope I get a shot at him...
