We don't see a ton of decent longnose gar in MN and they don't get as big as the ones down south (state record hook & line is 16lbs 12oz) so finding one that's over 5 lbs is pretty darn good. Anyways.... after 4 years of not shooting a MN gar I finally pulled my bow & connected. Ended up being my personal best at 12.45lbs 49"long. So happy happy happy!!
