By the way guys, 3 cans of Great stuff expanding foam will fill a decent size cardboard box and makes a decent foam block target in a pinch. Costs bout $10 and lasted a bout 4-5 months using field points... then I started blasting it with broadheads and tore the crap out of it. (also when you put the foam that thick, give it bout 24hrs or so to set up before shooting it).

I tried using a box from Walmart that kleenex boxes (about the size of the boxes toilet paper comes in or slightly bigger) come in and 4 cans filled it a little over half way. I think I'll get by with 3 more cans. I hope. I guess I could have chosen a smaller box

Fishing I've made my own Rod holders, gaffs, pour my own sinkers, tie flies (flyfishing), spinnerbaits, jig heads, fish baskets, stringers, stuff like that. Make my own arrows quivers too. When I had horses I tied my own rope halters, mecate reins, made my own piggin strings, night latch, and tie down, made my own driving reins and lunge ropes. Hobbles, kick hobbles, gum ropes, curb straps, stuff like that. Made a cotton cinch once but never used it, I like the neoprene cinches too much. Made a homemade cowboy style bedroll (I hate tents) for camping thats better than any one I've ever seen for sale, and for a fraction of the price. Made my own mudflaps on my old truck out of rubber stall mats. When I was horseshoeing full time I forged a lot of stuff out spare barstock, mostly hoof picks, made a rattlesnake out of an old rasp once. I can forge my own horseshoes but it's cheaper to buy them, except for some bar shoes (which I can make). Tried forging some knives but they always turned out pretty ugly. Also have made a few knife sheaths.
