So tonight i broke my trolling motor because it a transom mount mounted on the front the tilt keeper broke, so when it turns on it just comes out of the water i am going to rig it up for now but I believe that its just gonna keep happening because of the stress is opposite of the way it would be if it was mounted correctly on the transom so anyway what im getting at who wants to donate me a bow mounted trolling motor because im broke haha. In all honestly what I was really wanting to know does anyone know of a place that sells trolling motors that has a layaway for someone that doesnt have the money but can do a rent to own type thing?????

I have a rig like the one above. You can get the center part "shaft mount" for 18.00 plus shipping. I built the push button latch out of stainless, after it fell off. Actually if you clean those parts well. The aluminum can be welded. I welded mine a few times before I lost some of the pieces.

had this problem too with a Minn Kota... we solved by welding on a pipe to the front of the deck and let the shaft slide up and down... until the saft and mount didn't give on one trip and whe hit a huge Rock and broke the motor off the pole... wasn't good...lol...
