So after debating with myself I have decided that I am tired of a tiller, and with my most recent decision of upgrading my 40 jet to a 60 prop I really want a console. Any input would be much appreciated.

Deffinately side... Center consoles take up too much room IMO

I had a 1650. Space is of a premium so a side console is the only way to go!

If your building it I would go side but a standup or higher then stock console, Problem I had I my 1648 was I was always standing to see over the deck but the console was really to low to drive comfortably.

X2! I built my side console tall so I could drive it standing up.

This is the only picture I have that has the console in it. I sold the boat so I can't get any more pictures. I could drive sitting on the storage box or stand up and drive comfortably.

Definately side console.

i went side console so i woulnt have to walk around it continuously. buddys got a center console just seems to take up room. also i went high enough to stand behind it and am goin to add a seat so i can sit down if needed.
