I have been on the forum for a quite a while. I’ve seen a lot of awesome boats and gotten a whole lot of good information. My boat is still in progress, but I hope to have it finished soon so it’s ready to fish. I have waited a while to post pictures. After lurking on the forum for a long time, I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted. I found a good deal on a 1756 Triton and couldn’t pass it up. Hopefully this may give someone some ideas on their next build. If you have any suggestions and ideas please send them my way as this is my first boat build. Here we go… Here is right after I bought it.

Having a slight delay... I have a older 81 lb motorguide 36V that was given to me that supposedly worked. I always used hand control in my old boat and this one was foot control. I was thinking to get or make a sexy stick for the foot control and try that out since the trolling motor didn't cost anything. I was actually looking forward to trying something new with the foot control. Well now this trolling motor doesn't seem to work and is in worse shape (mainly cosmetic) than I remember it being. Now I guess I need suggestions on what troller to buy... Foot control? Hand Control? Size? Brand? Any input is appreciated.

Picked up a sexy stick yesterday from Bubba. Also decided to test out some textured paint on the gun box to see what it will look like. Hope to have some wiring done early next week and have it where I can at least go fishing. Still quite a bit to do, but its coming along slowly but surely.

Well chit-here's another boat that'll be on the water before mine

Looking good man. I totally forgot to answer you on the hinges, sorry about that.

I believe I bought them direct from the manufacturer, but from what I recall they gave me some push back on it, because they usually only sell large quantities. But it's worth a shot to try.

They are Sarasota HN 300. They are freakin sweet! They look like stainless, but are actually aluminum, polished to a mirror finish. What I liked is they have a 100% hidden bolt design-they bolt from underneath. They were a pain in the rectum to install, but dayum are they sexy. And a little more secure that ones that are screwed in from above.

Well, the boat is basically done. Got a few things left to do, but I got it out on the river earlier this week for a test run and everything seems ok. Still need to find a permanent location for the foot control and bolt it down. Then it will be ready to fish at least. May add some interior leds and some other small things later. Sure has been a journey, but has been fun. Thanks to everyone on here for the ideas and help with this project.
