Made the 27 hr voyage down to Gilliam, LA to bring this thing back to the Hoosier state last night. 1872 flat Alweld 30" sides. Powered by an old evinrude, was told it was a 115 with 85 horse cowl, but who knows.? I was sold on the size and love the 30" sides. Has a lot of potential- It's a bigo boat, and I'm excited about starting it. Not sure where I'm going with lights(led or hps) or whether I will ever put the fan back on it but Here's some pics from the journey, More to come....

i have an older evinrude 115 with an 85 cowl too. supposedly, the first few numbers of the model number on the data plate on your motor is the horse power. My title says 115 and the model number to my motor is a j115xxx something like that. That also holds true to my evinrude 15hp i have.

Here's how the OMC model number codes work. Below is the model number off of my 75 hp Johnson.

Model #: J75TLCNB

J- Johnson (E for Evinrude)
75- Horse Power
T- electric start/electric tilt
L- 20"
C-8
N-2 (CN=1982)
B- Model Run at the Factory

Yeah I got all that. He said he got it from his cousin and "his cousin also changed out the number plate". boat runs really well, and the outboard was gone though last yeAr, so I am happy regardless.

Heck No! I still think that Ford has a heated tailgate lol

Made some headway on it so far today. The deck was made of steel, and on top of the wasn't even made to fit the boat. Pulled the approximately 300 lb deck off, and will be building a wood deck for this year, and will build an aluminum one later on. Will have an aluminum light rail welded for this year after this deck is done.
