It was on our ranch thats been managed for 11 yrs now and If a canned hunt to you is 7800 low fenced acres than I guess it was.
Don't understand why someone would want to take the glory from a kid that just shot his 1st deer with a bow and ask him if it was a canned hunt?

First off... Is he even on here?? If so why are you taking the glory away from him posting his deer? And excuse me but I'm pretty sure I'm not taking any "glory" away from anybody! It was a simple qestion.. Kid or not, If you think a couple hundred acres and a 15ft fence is sportsman like.. Then you're a dumbass!! This is the internet, I have no idea of the details surrounding the hunt.. That's why I asked.. It seems there is a lot of TX high fence operations and for it to be a first deer like that and with a bow.. seemed a bit fishy! There are a lot of guys on here, including myself that are avid hunters and sportsmen and dream about deer like that.. Hence why I said "awesome deer man".. But judging by your response and defensive position, I'm guessing that your low fence is pretty tall.. How high are we talking here?

First off its a young man that has helped me out alot and I thought it would be nice to reward him with a nice deer and yes I have at least 8 deer on this land that will make BC.

2nd before you start calling Dumbass you might want to gather a little info on who is on the other end I would say you are quite the dumbass to ask how high the fence is when I've already stated it was a LOW fence. In texas we have high fence and LOW fence but since you don't understand it is 42" netwire with 4" post every 100' and t-bars every 20' but I've had a talk with all the deer and asked them not to jump out.DUMBASS

Shooting a buck in a high fence IMO would be harder than in the wild. They know how far dart range is.
