ok i have been working with BFC now for a bit and have talked with many members about this i still will not make any money of the 27w led lights at 39 dollars im just going to give the two xtra dollars a light to mike to help the BFC . if everyone can please AFTER you get the lights from me put on here how many you got that way there is no question how much mike is getting. i have helped a lot of you get your lights for your boats and answer as many as i can even if its not about this light. i get a ton of the same questions.

light size is 4.5" square
2150 lm each
most run 10-14 lights
most seem to run 24-30" out of the water with the best light
most run 10-16" a part
seems most can run 2 good batt. with 12 for around 7 hours
the price is 39 each tyd
yes i have other lights but i get my best prices on 12v and 24v lights
12v or 24v does not seem to make a big change in life or light
im always trying new lights and will keep you up on whats good for the money
i do have other watt lights but the 27w are the best of the money
most the time i can order sunday and by the following tue. you should have them unless some delay on the builders side
yes i can get other colors but there is a mor and i need more time for them to build them
i do run a set under water so this light holds up great under water

I hope this save some of my emails and calls

anymore info anyone has just on the 27w on here would be great maybe some finished photos ?

I was thinking about getting a 2000watt gen any ways I kinda figured that they would pull around 75 watts but I was not sure But thanks for the heads up

So I've reread this thread several times. I just want to make sure I got it before I order. If I want to run "silent", 12V, 10-16 27w LEDs are my best bet. 50w lights would be better but they're heavy and could have potential to burn out wires and switches, if not set-up properly.

Is that the basics of it?

Just got my 10 27's in today, can't wait to get the deck back from being modified so I can hook em up and enjoy the silence of the night. Thanks again Custom and I'll probably be ordering a few more once I get these hooked up and see how they look.

Quick question tho, what gauge of wire should I be running? Plan is to run 24v power to 2 switches (one switch for the left and right sides of the deck and the other for the front lights).

Wiring DC LED's

Note. If you can get actual input watts or amps of the manufacture use those numbers. ( a 27 watt led is not actually 27 watts it could be under driven by the manufacture, or over 27 watts if driven by another powers supply built into the light.

1 ------ Light load in amps or watts?
27 watt LED divided by 12 volts = 2.25 amps
27 watt LED divided by 24 volts = 1.125 amps

Ex, 12 LED lights @ 27 watts each----12 light times 27 watts = 324 watts total
or if you know amps per light -----------12 lights times 2.25 amps = 27 amps total (12 volt Led)
or if you know amps per light -----------12 lights times 1.125 amps = 13.5 amps total (24 volt Led)

2 a -------Wire length in feet from batteries to terminal block ? Ex. 14 feet of wire.(See drawings)
324 watts @12 volts and 14 feet of wire = #6 wire
324 watts @24 volts and 14 feet of wire = #12 wire
27 amps @12 volts and 14 feet of wire = #6 wire
13.5 amps @24 volts and 14 feet of wire = #12 wire

2 b -------Wire length in feet from terminal block to 4 lights ? Ex. 10 feet of wire. (See drawings)
108 watts @12 volts and 10 feet of wire = #12 wire
108 watts @24 volts and 10 feet of wire = #14wire
9.0 amps @12 volts and 10 feet of wire = #12 wire
4.5 amps @24 volts and 10 feet of wire = #14 wire

3 -----Use OBG’s chart to find DC wire size. http://bow.fishingcountry.com/forums/entry.php?284-DC-Wire-Size-Chart
Top chart is for 24 Volts DC
Bottom chart is for 12 Volts DC

Column 1 of chart is for amps ( when amps are known ) find your total amps then follow row to the right to your feet of wire to terminal block then follow that column up to the top to see wire size.

Column 2 of chart is for watts ( when watts are known ) find your total watts then follow row to the right to your feet of wire to terminal block then follow that column up to the top to see wire size.
