I'm a newbie here (first post) and a relative newbie to bowfishing. I attended the Open this weekend and I had an awesome time. We found lots of empty water but we did find a few fish and managed to weigh in 95 pounds. We should have done a couple things differently, but live and learn, right?

I am really impressed at how well Bass Pro and the other sponsors ran and supported the event. They were awesome hosts and really laid out the red carpet for a bunch of slimy old bowfishermen. If I get the chance, I'll absolutely jump at the chance to shoot this event again.

I look forward to learning more about the sport and getting to know some of the folks around here!
