Gotta be a clip on. Tell Eva that I'm still stuck on a job, so I won't make it down, but thanks for stopping to see me on her way to the ATA!:shh:Watched all the video and I am still thinking... Wow a tie. Dustin actually is wearing a tie! lol
Need a better grip, like rubber. The osprey is a great bow and with the issue of the end cap addressed IMHO is good to go. Looking forward to checking them out.
Something like a Hogue or Pacmayr would be a good gripNeed a better grip, like rubber.

at least one more!WWR-I'm thinking a new career change is in your future...news anchor! Bud, you are awesome. Thanks for all the updates. Now I have this reoccurring question that keeps coming up in the back of my mind, "How many Ospreys does one guy need?" That orange one was sweet.
Ya I know they haven't had much time to mess with much. I'd still like to see the Osprey in a machined riser. For $800 I don't think it's too much to ask; I don't think any other company has a cast riser bow that is priced that high.I looked over the osprey and yes they are still a cast riser but they appear to be a better cleaner cast than I have seen in recent years. the new machined aluminum end caps are a fully redesigned piece. the taper under the limb and over the pivot bar on the riser is probably 1/4" longer and smoothed out inside the pocket moving the pivot point back slightly inside the cap. accompany this newly engineered design with the strength of aluminum and it not only will perform better but look great and last forever too. they are a bit thinner and radius on the outside than the old style aluminum caps.
Talking to JP, Chuck, and Jon and they have been playing with the new bow and trying to get them to pop out. JP said they took a bow cranked it down to 28-30ish lbs and just started dry firing it over and over to see if it would fail. the cables finally flopped off a cam after a few minutes of torture but the end caps stayed where they were supposed to.
Carpcommander- yes they tried to fix the immediate issues but have many new things in the works. from the time they have acquired the company and moved it to Missouri they have not had a lot of time. but they have managed to pick some low hanging fruit that will benefit everyone.
Exactly, you can't tell me that a modern day lever has more dollars spent in R&D and Machine time vs a high end compound. I understand the volume of sales in the bow fishing market is much less than the hunting community purchases of a hunting bow but a bow technology that has been around for 10plus years and has had little change can not still be paying for overhead. The profit of the Osprey has been what has kept CP afloat for years. No reason the price rom a competent marketing company can not build a higher end bow for less price to the consumer..Ya I know they haven't had much time to mess with much. Can't wait to see what they bring out in the next few years![]()

im told there are currently 7 states that allow big game hunting with a air rifle. Air rifles are the hunting weapon of the future. whether you think they are just fun to tinker with, like to hunt small game, or keep up on the newest cutting edge of PCP rifles, there is no denying the power, strength, reliability, and accuracy of these precision weapons. these aint red ryders.the bow rifle pretty cool wonder if legal for deer? Just might get a shoot through on a carp!![]()
