Was out on Sat. Thought I would go one last time before hunting started. Hit a new lake. The water was crystal clear. Shot at a few cats in four to five foot of water. Missed all of them. First time getting skunked in many years. Need to practice them deep shots.

Not me. Been filling doe tags and making sausage and pastrami. I'm never much for bowfishing after hunting opens. I may need to shoot a few for snapper trap bait if I get around to that.

I know what you mean on the clear water. Four feet doesn't sound like much but when you've been shooting one foot that arrow will be missing by feet, not inches.

Shot my biggest buck, 8pt with a 17" spread. Spent about 10 full days and other than two small spikes this was the only deer I got a shot at.
