That's pretty cool right there. In Ohio, we cannot shoot any type of game fish. Only forage fish so its odd seeing an award for a pike. Nice job on her part!

 

Had another good nite last nite shooting snakeheads, was already dead low tide when got dark, so missed the real good last 2 hrs of outgoing tide. Shot about 15 in first 1 1/2 hrs, and really slowed down once tide started coming up. Ended up with 20 snakeheads total, lost and missed a few also. Did stick and loose a Grassie and missed on another one. Didn’t even bother shooting at carp and Gar. Gar were starting to spawn and had a bunch of males courting females. Good nite overall and back home before midnite and gonna be cleaning some fish today......

 

Dang Garp, you guys are getting as many snakeheads there as in the Potomac! They sure do taste good, don't they?

 

Kinda nice not making trips to the Potomac anymore, we just point at carp and Gar with Arrow and fake draw on them, filleted almost full 5 gallon bucket of fillets today :hb: yup are awesome and nice getting to shoot stuff you can eat, kinda jacked and love fishing for them. But popularity is increasing, met another boat fishing last night just before midnight, first time saw another boat where we were at, was fishing last fall and ran into (4) other boats one night, kinda turning into the Potomac

 

Took a couple buddies that dont get out bowfishing very often. They had a riot. We got 54. Coulda shot way more but my buddy didnt want to get hs pickup box too messy lol

 

Little late in posting this. Took the new boat out on 4/6 for the maiden trip. Just went to the lake in the community that I live in. We got 5 total carp in a couple of hours. Not bad for a first trip just trying to get used to shooting with the lights and new stuff.

Going to hit some public lakes this weekend as long as the weather is decent. Carp should be spawning decent.

 

First trip out, during the day a week and a half ago, and second trip a week later. First trip i got 15 fish in the boat, 5 gar and a buff were between 17 and 22 1/2 lbs. Second trip I got my pb gar at 24.5lbs.

 

Fished a hook and line tournament yesterday, it's an outreach ministry to a children's home. Took a kid out on the boat and put 39 small catfish in the boat, won 1st in numbers, 1st in total weight, and 2nd biggest fish.

 

Way to go Kayak, how was the wind Saturday??? I know we had wind to 40-50 mph Saturday and was wondering if SoDak got any of that snow forecast for his area ????

 

When we blasted off at 630 wind was 5-10 and shifting.....it would blow one way until I anchored up and got rods set then itd blow the opposite and mess everything up lol. By lunch it became a sustained 20 with gusts toward 30-35, not the best weather for catfishing but I had to make do.

 

Season opened up Friday night at midnight for our part of the state. Made it out for a few hours and shot some big fish.

also woke up to about an inch of snow this morning.

 

Took a quick striper trip this week, had a few hours to kill before catching bait so I went looking for something to shoot.....first time I've ever shot the lake, definitely wont be the last.

 

I got a chance to go fishing with an OG when it comes to SD Bowfishing. He is a memeber on here but hasnt been online in 5 years. In case anyone was wondering drumshooter is still killing fish. Here he is with a 24lb 10oz mirror!

 

Also took the wife out bowfishing for mothers day like she requests every year

 

Got out for about an hour and a half before the clouds rolled in and the sun went down last night but we still managed to get a couple

 

Had a good weekend on the bay. 115 fish

Fished some crappy water this past weekend with my buddy, he was suffering some real bad chs and I didnt shoot many times, he ended up hitting 3 lol

 

Glad to hear people are getting out...I have been trout fishing my club pond most every evening. Not exactly nail biting excitement, but a lot less work. I'm hoping to get out this week but I think I missed the spawn already at some places. The timing never seems to work out for me anymore.

Thanks. I'm a part time taxidermist and was going to mount that fish because of it's striking markings. But when it came time to leave in the bucket it went. I have two in the freezer already and couldn't bring myself to keeping it. That mirror was the first one I ever shot so that did come home with me.

Shot my biggest fish in Minnesota so far this weekend. 30.6lbs

 

My friend's kid got his first carp last weekend. Weighed in at 34#. Was a pretty proud dad moment for him.

Holy chit! There is some absolute slobs in there!

 

Had a good day on saturday. Was able to get my buddy that moved to Montana a few years back on his first trip since he moved out west. It was a good time! 82 carp and buffs and a bonus pike.

 

Went to South Dakota for paddlefish opener. Water conditions were horrible. No paddlefish but did get some fish.

 

Don't feel bad about that. This year is going to be super tough to fill a paddlefish tag.
