This first picture was a real traumatic event in my life........its when I realized I was going bald!!!(You can see my dome in the bottom of the picture..........about 15' up that tree)
Image

This cat was one of the largest cats I ever treed and I was tagged out........had to let him go.Nobody ever killed him either

This was a close one.......I used to get right up there with em if they acted right.My old running partner was like a crazy chinaman,he would get up there with all of em and he did get some great pics.I seen him get smacked out of the tree a few times too!!

lol.. and now you know... WWCS!!!

:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

Good question Cody.I wouldnt do it with all cats,I got a sense of the ones you could,and the ones you couldnt.The one above,I said was on of the biggest I ever treed.....I knew right away,I was not getting up the tree with him,he never took his eyes off me(thats not common)
I had two dogs that could climb a tree like a damn monkey(note the dog in my "Bald",pic....thats one of em.On the big cat one of them dogs got up there(I have a great pic somewhere of it,and video,of her getting her azz swatted about 20' out of the tree)
I never treed a cat in Calif,that I would climb in with....these cats down here have zero fear of people.
I want to point out too,I never did it to be macho(I was usually by myself)I did it to either get them damn dogs down,to jump em so I could run em some more,or to get pictures.

Here are a couple more

hey!!! send me some details on a cat hunt!
I dont do it any more bud.Quite guiding for em in 1998 when I went to chasin em for the Gov
I have some freinds that do though

2nd pic above is just too dayum close, talk about sending chills down the spine

on a 2nd note: does the scream of a mountain lion or cougar actually sound like a mature female woman in distress?

hahahaahah.. more like ninja in a watermelon patch!

My uncle had a dog that loved to climb. One cat took care of that. When the dog got up to the limb the cat was on it reached down to swat him and hooked it with the dew claw and flung him outta the tree. We laughed about that for quite a while once we knew the dog was ok.

Yea,these dogs mother was the one that started that chit,and I got her after she had already been doing it so I couldnt break her of it,and she already had taught her pups.The chitty thing is if they would have been mediocre dogs I would have put a bullet in em,but they werent!She got smacked off a 80 ft cliff(I was at the bottom trying to figure out how to get up there when she went sailing over my head.............dead
