i bought chevyscoots(ty) boat a couple weeks ago. and 90% of where we fish sound DOESNT matter, but we do fish guntersville and the limit is like 92 or 93db at idle. idk how loud it is but its got some small straight thru mufflers without chambers. which i assume isnt much better than staight pipes. so wats every1 runnin???

Magnaflow...straight through ...3.5" "I think" maybe 3" maybe 4" I'm not sure...several people have told me "ur Airboat is kinda quiet compared to others I've heard" but I think that has alot to do with how much gas u give it.

yeah id like to leave it how it is, but they been crackin down on guntersville. i know a water patrol cop an a few other cops that mit hav a decibel checker ill get em to check b4 i change anything, it maybe fine how it is

My honest experienced opinion ... I think the props make more noise then your exhaust ...don't get me wrong straight pipes are loud but any muffler will work just so u will pass an inspection ...at an idle

I would think the quieter the better for fishing, if you want it loud too you could always put cutouts on it for fun

G'ville boat cops are looking for 87db max at idol from 4 foot from the exhaust . But they will tollarate being over if you just stay away from the housing areas !!!

Well I will tell you, ChevyScoots boat with the stipper pole is really loud and it ain't props. The Possum Kingdom lake patrol a.k.a. Brazos River Authority, told me after take-off that, that boat was too loud. I asked him, really? What is too loud? He told me plainly, "you know what too loud is". I then asked him what Db was too loud. He didn't give me an answer. But I will say, unless he changed something, that boat is LOUD. But I won't say that it was too loud.

I actually took my prop off and cranked the engine and believe it or not it only dropped 1 db. but as long as the water patrol believe it's prop noise I ain't gonna tell 'em!!!!!!! LoL

I made it about 1/4 mile from the Blast Off point before they put the red and blues on me!! LOL Well when everyone left they were Wide Open Throttle, and when I hit the throttle, my phone was burning up with text and here come Johnny Law!! LOL PM sent!
It's not the prop sound! LOL
