I have learned 4" or more clearance will save shafts big time. It will allow the shaft to flex and let the bow gaurd braek away.
the SF/BG has a 1/4" bolt on top that holds the head to the mount. I made a large wing headed bolt for easy attach and removal. love my ELITE mount. it frees up a ton of deck space when im running my fan and the troller is under the deck.What holds the tolling motor on

here is an all new minnkota riptide trolling motor mount..
no more big bulky base mounts in the way , this eliminates the base and allows more deck space
for shooting...easy on and off, and allows the trolling motor to be stored away easier..w/ less space.
