Acid wash: what product are people using.

also, I currently use laquer thinner for cleaning up the area before I weld. Is there a better product?

Alumabrite for general cleaning.

Acetone works well for getting any oily residue out of an area I intend to weld.

Used a strong degreaser called "Boss". Sprayed it on pure and gave it a good scrubbing before rinse. After it dried good, we sanded with medium grit paper, then cleaned good with acetone.

Alumabright is what we use on pontoons at work. Works great! If you don't spray it on from the bottom up, it'll streak and turn aluminum kinda white.
