Guys, we're looking to start taking orders on the new Angler very soon. Boar has given a starting price of $750, but this figure may be reduced depending on production numbers. To get an idea of how many we should look at in our first run, we'd like to see how many of you are serious about purchasing. Please post up if you are so we can get a good idea as to how many we should start off making.

As a teaser, we've updated the original Angler. Here's one of the originals with a custom finish by Garpoon:

And here's a 3D rendering of the revised Angler that will be going into production:

Any takers?

that's Funny kuger !!
i "just this very minute" look'd @ price tag on Osprey, $650.00 !! @ 3,000 Ospreys sold per year (Bad couple years for C.P.O. due to Economy) & we're talk'n $100.00 @ a 100 Angler order !!
we have "more" in Aluminum then they do in Plastic, Aluminum machined vs molded Plastic !!
so, we are very comparable in the Anglers price & as stated (another thread), the more who commit, the cheaper to build/the cheaper the cost to Y'all !!

Please keep this thread to who is looking to purchase in the first production run only. We'll be glad to answer all questions when asked, so please start a new thread if you have any.

Kuger, as far as your question goes, yes, we were initially looking to keep this priced similar to the Osprey, but we were unable to take advantage of some opportunities presented to us by a 2nd party. As you can see, this is a far more advanced bow than the Osprey, and we're pricing it accordingly. This is a fully machined bow from stock, not a cast of aluminum or magnesium. It is lighter, stronger, much shorter (around 40" or less), has a more powerful and fully adjustable cam and timing system, has fully contained limbs, no plastic components, and a fully updated bow when compared to the Osprey. So the question is, do you spend $650 on an Osprey, or $750 on an Angler and not have to upgrade?

EDIT: Dang, since when does Boar type faster than me?! lol

Good point, Throughthegills. We have a very good idea of what the Angler is going to spec out as from our initial run and from the modeling software. What we're anticipating is:

Bare Bow Weight: ~3.0 pounds
Tip-to-Tip Length: ~40 inches
Riser centered vertically w/ a shallow shelf conducive to the bowfishing style of shooting
Velocity achieved with initial production bow: 210-220 fps @ 28" draw length and 38 pounds draw weight using a 420gr arrow over a chrono.

I know they are still subject to change once the revised bow is in hand, but it should give you a good idea as to what we're expecting.

Kuger, no offense taken. Thanks for inquiring!

"Yes" the AREA 5150 Angler run the "Exact" same line as a GulfCoast Custom build, you choose grips, film dip, powder coat, string/cable colors !!
this is "NOT" an "on shelf" bow, we will have 8/10 film dips in stock chosen "buy you", for those who Do Not want to wait for their Angler to be dipped to their choosing BUT any film you can find we will apply, the powder colors are limitless as are the string/cable colors !!
also along the lines of colors, any film dip, powder coat, string/cables or grip done in "Pink"(or portion of), H20 Imaging, Cedar Hill strings, R & G grips & GulfCoast Archery donate a portion to "Breast Cancer Awareness" in the name of the Danny Brown Foundation !!

Thanks carpslayer20,
$750.00 is "The Absolute Most" the Angler could/would cost anyone !! if the numbers of sales "increase" the price can/will Only drop the price tag !!
KY Bighead, if you order "300", i'll hand deliver & give you one Hellova price reduction !!
