So I'm sittin in a crane with lots of time to think, won't be home till mid may an thinkin about what all I want to do when I get back. Well just remembered a spot on a local bayou that I see two GG roll one morning several years ago. If they was in that area then they should still be right? Does one just sit in one spot till they roll then try sn get close with trolling motor? Or ease around with trolling motor hoping one rolls close enough? Also do you need a slotted retriever with float?

the only reason you need a slotted retriever is if they is logs n chit up in dar.

yep, when u see one roll, sit and drink beer till your so drunk when they roll right in front of the boat your either peeing or reaching for another beer, works great for me!
