Absolute newb, Just getting gear setup for the first time and found that I may need to change my arrow rest for bowfishing.
Currently using an Allen sharpshooter on a recurve--will this need to be replaced with a bowfishing specific rest?

A fiberglass bowfishing arrow is a lot heavier than a hunting arrow. So I would not use that rubber rest. My guess is the rubber rest will not be strong enough to hold the arrow. There are a ton of bowfishing specific rests out there anywhere from $20-$50. I like the full containment style rests like the quick draw, muzzy mantis, etc. but it’s all in preference.
