Just saw the headline on yahoo and came here to see if anyone was talking about it. Huge...amazing, and glad he still has his hand!

 

Not to take anything away from him, (GREAT Gar and with a recurve :clap: ) but had to wonder how he got 200yds of line on the shoot through reel

 

Lots of fishy stuff in that story but however it was killed, that thing is huge.

I watched a story on this gar right after he was(that night) caught. said he was on a jug and weighed close to 250lb

 

its the headline on yahoos home page and it said 200 feet not yards

 

Your right, my bad, still a lot of line to fit on that reel

 

yea and if you look at the reel in the pic looks like maybe 40'...id love to believe the story but theres to many versions of it and being a bowfisher myself, the fact that he shot it, fought it with that setup and managed to land it by himself with no back up arrow in it, gaff, nothing...seems too fishy for me lol
