New fan motor here and looking for some ideas on a actuator or solenoid to rig up an electric choke. I already have a forward mounted ignition switch with a push auxiliary contact and have it run up to the fan motor just needing to find something with like and inch stroke and spring or automatic return. Kinda a crappie pic but may help someone figure out what I'm trying to do.

unless it was same engine as yours probably wouldn,t help much if I remember think I took the actuator and held it where it could push the choke and visualize what bracket would have to build to mount and pin to the choke .my engine was Honda v-twin.

I went to a boat bone yard and bought an electric choke solenoid off a 6 hp evenrude.it works perfect.has a 1 inch throw, and easy to mount.just make a mount that fits the solenoid.....use existing hardware placement.and make an offset rod or aluminum plate.

speedway, amazon, e-bay they all have them. I like the looks and specs. of the SPAL SIL 40K solenoid the best. Cost is higher than others I found but hopefully it means it'll last longer.
