Hey I'm starting on my first big build 17/52. I've pretty much got the deck planned out how I want it. Only thing left is thinking of the best way to attach it to the boat where it can be removed fairly easy. My deck is going to be 70" from front V to back. 70" at the back 53" at the front. I'm going with 16" legs to clear the lids of my storage underneath it. Any ideas you guys have would be greatly appreciated. By the way I'm building it out of 1"x1" 14 gauge steel. Thanks

That last post was late. Server was busy or something. Yeah I thought of welding a bolt inside each leg and drilling a hole through the rail in each spot and putting a nut on the underside

Look into using 3/8 aluminum rivet nuts. They are real clean and if you go to sell the boat then there is no hole there there would be a rivet nut that looks like it was meant to be there from the factory.

yes i am, he was my pawpaw. i love it over there. beautiful lake. yall shoot any good fish on it?

Yeah real pretty lake. We shoot tons of gar never any size though. Shoot a lot of big buffalo and carp. The wind keeps the south end too muddy so we stay in the trees on the north end. Always real clear and always produces

I don't know if you can see in the picture very well, but I used pieces of aluminum channel. They are welded to the gunwale and I ran a bolt through the leg. I just pop out the front bolt and the whole deck tilts up to work under it. Or take out three bolt and remove it.
