Ok guys, here's the deal. I'm just now getting into bowfishing and I don't have a ton of money since I'm in college. Do any of you have a backup or a bow you wouldn't mind selling to me? I'm needing it fully rigged preferably and would like to keep it under $150.

Well I wouldn't use the spool either but to hit the $150 you're gonna be pressed and any spool is gonna be about the same. You can actually buy the bow in a kit for $120. Personally, I shoot the vise, ti20 with monkey wire...for now, victory rest and hazard shafts...most of the time. Just got some of the Turbo points to replace some NOS points and I cant wait to try them out. If your budget has a bit more play in it than the 150 then for sure steer away from the spool.

I'm from east central Oklahoma. If someone close would like to help me out I'd be happy to take them out on my boat. (Yes I know, I spent a lot of a
boat, but it's a duck boat predominantly. I know I like duck hunting and will use the boat year round. But I don't wanna drop $300 on a bow I'll only use once.)

Ok guys. The search is off. I found a bow tonight and ended up walking away with it. Paid $120 for a Fred bear adventure hunter, 70# draw (plan on turning down to about 50# unless anyone has advice to change my mind) with the deal that if I get really into bowfishing and upgrade bows he'll buy back the bow. Right now it has a ams bowfishing model 610R bottle reel. It also came with two arrows outfitted with average bowfishing tips and safety slides. All of which I get to keep when I sell the bow back to him. Thank you for the help and advice

Agreed! You will end up selling most of your duck hunting supplies to buy more bowfishing supplies!
I don't see that happening lol. They're two different seasons  I have a feeling I'll really enjoy bow fishing. Already designing a aluminum deck that'll be more functional and lighter than this deck I threw together one evening
