I just made up an arrow fiberglass x sure-shot and adhered it with JB Weld. I'm just trying that to see if it works any better or worse than anything I've tried in the past.

What has worked the BEST for you over the years???

2 ton epoxy is probably the best but I use super glue 95% of the time and it works just fine for me.

When installing points, first I'll slide a point on without glue and mark the arrow with a sharpie. Then I score four rings around the shaft in front of that mark. Then I'll glue the point on. That holds points on like a sumbich without having to pin them.

I normally use a 2 ton epoxy for the tips and super glue or nock glue (same thing as SG only more expensive) for the nocks. However in cold winter weather I am going to start pinning the tips because I lost 2 in one day to the epoxy shrinking/becoming brittle and falling off in fish.

What kind of pins are you guys using? I used to just use nails and file the ends in a mushroom. I'm sure there's a better way these days. I bought a rivet gun but the rivets it came with are all too big. I've been meaning to research for smaller rivets that will work with the gun I have, but saw this thread and figured I might get some tips. Thanks.

I use a small nail, and just peen the off side.
I use Hot Glue so I can spin test and the nail doesnt even throw the balance off
