Im glad i read this too! In my guide service, we go through at least 10 dozen arrows a year. Never used their products but was thinking about doing so. I am glad they are now making an attempt but the letter was just hogwash! If they had never had many returns, they would have WANTED to see these arrows to see what was up.
If someone called ad made that claim and they DIDNT believe it, the FIRST thing they would have done was say SEND EM BACK SO WE CAN LOOK AT THEM! I still didnt see in the letter where they wanted to look at them. They knew it was true.
I will never use their products and maybe i will get the opportunity to do a little product review with a couple of the largest retailers in the outdoor industry in the next couple of weeks. Im sure THEY dont want to sell junk that people wont be pleased with.
Great points Steve.
I will say,I have got crooked shafts with every brand throughout the years thats just the way it goes, even Yello Jackets....looking at three of em right now,but that isnt bad out of the two dozen I have.
Thats one of the reasons I never sent these orange ones back, just figured it was my luck. With them being new,I would never buy more than two, just to try.I am thinking alot of guys if they dont spin test there shafts dont realize how many of there shafts arent straight. That being said these were BENT

I got 2 doz of there shafts. I like to look at stuff before I put them in my store They sent the wrong ones by mistake so I called Matt told him my problem I had checked the ones I got for being straight. We talked them about not being straight. He wanted to see them so they sent a call tag for them I should here from him next week so they are trying to be helpful. I think you all know getting straight shafts for a decent price is a big problem Fred@F&D

Well get my new shafts today. Was surprised I got 20 shafts that were as good as I have seen glass shafts. Then the extras they threw in. The lumi nock ones. Well one point was all jacked sideways and the other two had bowed shafts. I would have thought they would have handed picked these. I guessed wrong. Some serious issues with quality control.
I at least have some I can shoot now.

hell,ya'll crying about a couple junkie crooked shafts.just knock em up and shoot straight and it wont even matter how crooked they are,lol...
I'd say this whole thread concentrates not so much on getting crooked shafts (it happens with any fiberglass arrow) but more about chitty customer service.

I read this entire thread and it sounds to me more like damage control rather than customer service. Ive had bad shafts from every maker at one time or another but they always made it right, not these guys untill they got hammered on here and tried to save face. Sorry to say to late for me, Ill never buy their product ever again, its about time we showed these companys with piss poor customer service that we the consumers can and will make a difference in numbers by not purchasing their product. Im against bashing a company on the net but in this case they deserved it and a lot more.

this is a rare occurrence these days. Companies usually go above and beyond. Probably for reasons like this thread. I got a cargo carrier rack for my suv with bad welds I emailed pics and said I will not spend the time or money to ship the old one back and they were fine with it. A bad review on a forum or retailer site makes me think twice.

I keep waiting for these great "fin-finder" pfostaff guys to hop in and get the point across to their crappy company, I think I would take that finfinder name out of the 3086254 pics I have up from photozhop bc frankly it would embarass me. :co:

I just got my fin finder products for my store as well. I got 36 shafts and 6 were straight. the carbon inlayed shafts were the only ones that were straight enuff to sell. needless to say it's probably happening to all of us who aren't checking right away. I'll be sending mine back today for sure. just wanted to let ya'll know

HERE IS A NICE GIFT I JUST RECEIVED::::: I GUESS THE VOICE OF BFC HAS A LOT OF POWER>>>>>>>

Doug,

Good Morning. My name is Dave Parker and I am the Sales Manager for Kinsey Archery/October Mountain Products which is the parent brand to Fin Finder Bowfishing. I have been made aware of your dissatisfaction with your purchase of an older version of the Fin Finder Raider shafts that you purchased from an on-line retailer. Please accept our apologies as I will have to take the sword on this one as I will explain.

Matt Smith informed me last week of a customer who had purchased 20 discontinued Raider shafts and is making claim that 17 of them are unusable and that the customer would like replacement. Please understand Doug, we have sold many thousands of Raider shafts and have not had 17 returns total in over two years that this product was on the market so it did not seem like a credible claim to me. That is what I told Matt my feeling was. Matt responded to you based on what I had told him. My intention was to get back to Matt after giving it some thought as to how to resolve this positively for you. Matt took the initiative to get back to you promptly and he informed you that we couldn’t replace the shafts based on what I told him before I had a chance to create a resolution. Well, I became involved in another issue and did not get back to Matt with a resolution before the end of the day. My bad, not an excuse, but that is what happened and it is my fault. Bad timing and miscommunication on our end. To leave you with product you weren’t satisfied with was not my intention but unfortunately that is how it turned out. 100% my fault.

We are going to send to you today, 20 of the 2011 version of the Fin Finder Raider bowfishing shafts as replacement for the ones your purchased. I am also going to send you 3 of the new Fin Finder Hydro-Glass arrow with Penetrator point and installed Lumenock. This is the first generation of bowfishing arrows with the Hydro-Tek nock system. I think you will find it to be a premier product. I am also going to send you the new Fin Finder Hydro-Glide arrow rest for you to try. Please accept these along with our apologies.

Again, I offer my apologies and assurance that our company is founded on premier Customer Service, albeit this was not a good example. We have been an industry leader for over 60 years and we are one of the most trusted and respected companies in the Archery Industry. When we launched the Fin Finder brand we committed ourselves to bringing high quality innovative products to the bowfishing community. The overwhelming response we have enjoyed from the bowfishing community has confirmed we are on the right track. I am confident you will continue to see Fin Finder continue to bring exciting new products to the bowfishing market.

If I can be of service any further in regards to this issue or at any time please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Good shooting,

Respectfully,

Dave Parker
