Needing some advice! The boat is an 1860 Alweld, with a floor installed and center console.

I'd like some more storage, the only storage I currently have is the box directly infront of the center console and the drivers seat box.

I've found a video where guys cut a hole and Installed a Hatch Door in one of the benches. We only have a flat bench in the rear.

Can I buy/build another "Bench for the front section that can double as a step and storage up to my deck? What's the easiest way to do that?

Total newb questions, so please go easy on me!

Here are some images

One thing I'd really love to do inclose the back area where the fuel tank and batteries are.

Here is another pic showing the space and height of our deck.

As you can see, we have lots of space under the deck and we also need a better step to climb up on the shooting deck.

Your help is appreciated!

Guys use truck toolboxes quite often-they seem to like em.

Personally I like building my stuff. Not sure if you have access to a welder or any fab equipment? If so the sky's the limit. Just look at build threads on here and see what you like.

this is my old boat I cut the rear bench pulled the foam out and put a truck box inside the rear bench. The rear bench was nothing but wasted space anyway so I utilized it. This is the only pic I could find hope it helps.

The tool box is a good idea, hadn't saw or thought of that.

I wish I had a welder and the skills, it's something I want to get into and learn.
