Bowfishing Association of Mississippi was established in 2007 to promote and support the sport of bowfishing by providing a forum for communication, to provide structural means of support for annual and semi-annual bowfishing tournaments, and to facilitate fellowship among likeminded outdoorsman. In 2007, starting with 15 members B.A.M. has grown to 70 + members. B.A.M. has averaged six competitive events per year. Outside of competitions, B.A.M. is active with the youth of Mississippi running a booth at the Extravaganza in Jackson, MS for the past three years. Each year, we have had over 2,000 participants at the booth during the three day event of the Extravaganza. Also B.A.M. hosts at least one youth event each year targeting and introducing the youth to bowfishing through out the state.
