Interesting, if it was just a technicality (i.e. unintentional mistake) that they left that out in the verbage, what prevents them from just amending the order with a quick fix?
That would be great, but it's politics, so nothing gets done that easy or fast. Rob will have to introduce the new motion at the next meeting. Then, they will discuss it and go from there.

I am copying Rob Miller's email below for your review and information. He is very generous in passing out kudos to those who helped with getting the new FO-219 regulations passed, but you all need to know that Rob himself deserves most of the credit, as he has been working on this for about seven - yes, 7 - years with the NRC Warm Waters Committee representing BAM, MUCC and all bowfishermen's interests. If you know or meet up with Rob, please give him a big "THANK YOU" for his steadfast dedication, time and effort to our sport!

ALL,

Follow the string of e-mails here and pat yourselves on your backs. A huge thanks to all who made an effort and got involved on this issue it has been a huge success. As the press release states starting next April we will enjoy a year round season with more species allowed for take. This could not have been accomplished without the help of those that got involved.

Speaking with the NRC they mentioned several times the appreciation of the involvement of our members and others, including out of state support. The big thing with out of state support that was picked up was the comments relating to how much money is brought to our economy through this sport.

Congratulations to all---but we all need to remember to be watchful and vigilant in the future both to police ourselves and our policy makers.

Although several of you were involved and all was greatly appreciated I did have some exceptional work horses on this issue and would like to mention their names and give a special thank you to Larry Zadonick, Brian Gilson and Aaron Zadonick these folks went well over and above in this effort and deserve recognition. Definitely do not forget about the fact that MUCC has had a huge hand in getting us in position to enjoy this opportunity.

Happy Bowfishing-----ALL YEAR,

Rob Miller

Lol guess i am still confused ... so it says closed on certain trout streams and lakes but it does not list and lake that are closed so is this still all the lakes that we have never been able to shoot say for a example Gull lake?

So since the new regs don't go into play until April we can still shoot pike this winter correct?
Thats a 10-4 I guess we are going to have to go out with a bang and take lots of pic to say look what we use to be able to do! But i am still confused on what lakes we can and cant shoot come april

Just a small thing I noticed when looking at the then 'proposed' species list in Brian's attachment. The species list is very black and white compared to what it used to be, but, be careful now not to shoot any spotted gar, as they are not a listed legal species. So basically all rough fish, except spotted gar the way I read it.
