I've never built my own boat but I don't understand why you'd build something you can get from a manufacturer. By that I mean something 60" wide, especially 18' long. It's your money but if it was me and I was going to the trouble and expense I'd be looking at a 72" minimum, probably a little wider.

Spillway over by Clarinda, Windmill Park and the Nodaway and Nishna Botna rivers.
