So...you want to be part of Cajun Archery's 2012 Prostaff? Read on for more details...
In case you don't know, my name is Robin Parks and I am the prostaff coordinator for Cajun Archery. Cajun Archery is known as a leader in bowfishing equipment and, I feel, among the best in the business for taking care of our prostaff. These are the reasons why our staff positions are in such demand.
All applications/resumes and all associated material must be emailed to me at [email protected]. For those that still prefer snail mail, email me for my physical mailing addy. Applications will be accepted only during the period December 1 thru December 23, 2011. Any applications received before December 1 or after December 23 will not be considered. The 2012 Staff will be anounced NLT 5 January, 2012.
Some info on our staff program:
- Staff are selected based on many criteria. You do NOT have to be a tournament bowfisher, or a tournament winner to qualify. We are looking for folks that present themselves in a positive manner, are able to communicate effectively, are experienced bowfishers, and actively promote the sport.
- Our staff positions vary based on qualifications. I do not have a cookie cutter offer sheet. In other words, I cannot make a blanket statement as to what each staff member will receive if choosen.
- The staff will include a youth staff for bowfishers under 17 and under.
Some helpful info for applying:
- The application period is found above.
- I will not accept applications or questions about the staff program via PM on this forum, Facebook, or any other forum.
- I will not accept applications or questions about the staff program via PM on this forum, Facebook, or any other forum. (this appears twice on purpose!)
- Our staff selection is a competive process. This means that any 2011 staff members that want to return must re-apply.
- What do I want to see for an application? That is up to each applicant. The typical application includes a cover letter, an outdoors geared resume', and any other material you feel I should see (such as pix). As I said before...the staff selection process is competitive which means the process is much like a job application process.
- You may apply as a team if you desire, though I recommend individual applications.
- I WILL get your email, I promise! I check my spam folder daily, so your email will not slip through. I simply cannot respond to every email just to verify receipt.
- How do you know if you are selected or not? For each person selected, I email a offer sheet and contract for signature. Once you accept, you are part of the staff. Unfortunately, it is not possible to email each unsuccessful applicant.
Hopefully I have included enough info here to cover at least most questions that will come up.
