Brother, you hit the nail on the head. This is what I see most of the time with their pathetic attempts to discredit bowfishing. I find it hilarious that after you publicly "squash" any arguement they have then they revert to the ignorant comments. I find it funny that someone against killing stuff can turn into such a violent bad ass...lol.

I just think they need to come up with a better argument than "I like to carp fish..." What about all the other people that like to Bass fish or Crappie fish? Carp destroy their natural coverage. So yeah the Carp-fishers get what they want. They get to spend their days frolicking in the sun and catching fish that very few people like while the entire rest of the world is supposed to suffer? No more Bass tournaments (Granted I'm not an avid Bass fisherman but some people are)? No more crappie fillets? No more bowfishing for carp? No thanks I'll keep shooting them....

I should be posting all my rambling on FB but they would just piss me off. Even if you have them dead to rights they won't agree. I can't say I have anymore right to bowfishing then they have to catch them with a hook and line, but I can sure as chit say that I'm doing the environment a service. All they do is throw them back. They don't care about the species they care about themselves being able to catch them.

It is a complete waste of time arguing with tree huggers. Their entire mindset and arguments are based on 100% emotion, no logic or reasoning. I gave up arguing with them years ago because, quite simply, you can't fix stupid. That is not to say it isn't a lot of fun getting them riled up every now and then. However, you will NEVER change one of their minds/opinions by presenting a clear, logical, factual argument.

I've never understood the crazy amount of prize money that goes into the carp tourneys, the equipment they use. They have every right to the water, lots of folks appreciate the money the spread around, too damn bad they seem to be the me me me crowd. Sure would like to know where they are baiting an area to fish......heh heh

Those carp fisherladies are some crazy mofos. Heck just the other day I was reading on a carp fishing forum and they were straight up dogging this dude who posted pictures of himself landing a carp with a knotted net and then went as far as to hold the fish over concrete. I couldn't do anything but laugh thinking about how a muzzy would do a lot more damage than a knotted net.

Things I learned:
WTG for turning that kid into a future serial killer!
Game fish guard their nests so no carp has ever eaten their eggs!
Bowfishermen can't read and write so they don't post on internet! And if they can read but still bowfish, then they are stupid/gay!
Only kill what you eat to avoid being killed yourselves
